In this sequel book to Eragon. Eragon and his dragon Saphira have just saved the Varden from destruction by Lord Galbatrix's armies. Eragon must now venture north across the desert to get to the the elven city of Ellesmera for further training in magic and swordsman ship. But with enemies behind every corner, the question is will Eragon survive long enough to be trained?
Eldest is by far my favorite book in the series. Although in this new book the pace can get slow. With beautiful described battle sequences and shocking truths discovered, Eldest is a great book for those who don't mind long description and sometimes a slightly slower pace.
